What is a target?
Targets are what tell the bot which accounts or publications it should interact with. They are one of the key elements in setting up your modules correctly. There are 3 targets on BoostFluence:
- Hashtag
- Location
- Person
- Keyword
For the best BoostFluence results, your targets need to be varied and well-defined. Use the different target types at your disposal to make your bot seem as human as possible.
How to define targets for BoostFluence modules?
To properly define your BoostFluence targets, it's important to know how to use Instagram hashtags, to know the geographic location of the people we're targeting, and to have a list of accounts similar to yours. These elements will enable you to choose your targets intelligently.
For hashtags
You already (normally) use a certain number of hashtags for your Instagram photos, so don't hesitate to use them as targets. You can also take inspiration from the hashtags used by accounts similar to yours.
Avoid hashtags that are frowned upon by Instagram, such as @follow4follow or @likeforlike.
For locations
Use “place” targets to interact with people likely to be interested in your account, based on the location of their photos.
If you have an account dedicated to coffee, use the “Starbucks” location target.
For people
The “person” target is probably one of the most interesting, as it allows you to interact directly with an account's community (like your competitor, for example). In this way, you can absorb the community of similar accounts.
Define accounts similar to yours as BoostFluence targets.
For keywords
This target suggests owners corresponding to the keyword. Use specific keywords and avoid general keywords.
